Chicken Parmesan

Chicken breasts
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
2 cans (16 oz ea) tomato sauce
1 egg
mozzarella slices (enough for each chicken breast)
bread crumbs
1/2 Tbsp basil
parmesan cheese

Combine egg and pepper. Dip chicken in egg mix and roll in bread crumbs. Fry until browned. Place chicken in casserole dish. Mix garlic, basil, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 min. Pour over chicken and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Cover and bake 50 min at 375. Place mozzarella slices on top of chicken and bake for 10-15 min uncovered.

*I always do shredded mozzarella on top instead of slices.
