3 Tbsp corn starch, divided
1/2 c. water, plus 2 Tbsp, divided
1/2 tsp garlic powder, divided
1 lb. boneless round steak, cut into 3 inch strips
2 Tbsp veg oil, divided
4 cups broccoli
1 small onion, wedged
1/3 c. soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ginger
hot cooked rice
In a bowl, combine 2 Tbsp cornstarch, 2 Tbsp water and garlic powder til smooth.
Add beef and toss.
In a lg skillet over med-high heat, stir fry beef in 1 Tbsp oil until desired doneness. Remove and keep warm.
Stir fry broccoli and onion in remaining oil for 4-5 min. Return beef to pan.
Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and remaining cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to the pan. Cook for 2 min or heated through.
Serve over rice.
*We doubled the sauce
