2 c. uncooked penne
1 c. sliced green onion
1/2 c. chicken broth
1 Tbsp flour
1 c. heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp capers, drained
2 c. sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/3 c. water
2 c. cubed cooked chicken
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
shredded parmesan cheese
Cook pasta to package directions. Meanwhile, in lg. skillet saute mushrooms and onions in butter for 4-5 min or til tender. Add broth & garlic. Bring to a boil, cook til liquid is reduced by 1/2, approx. 5 min. Combine flour and water til smooth, gradually add to mushroom mix. Bring to a boil .Reduce heat, cook and stir for 2 min or til thickened. Stir in cream. Boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 4-5 min. Drain pasta. Add pasta, chicken, capers, salt & pepper to cream sauce. Heat through. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
