Oven Swiss Steak

1 1/2 lbs beef round steak, cut 3/4 in thick (eye of round or bottom)
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp shortening
1 (16 oz) can diced tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped celery, carrots, and onion
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce

Combine flour and salt. Dredge meat in flour mix. Brown meat on both sides, in shortening. Transfer meat to 12 x 7 1/2x 2 in baking dish. Blend remaining 2 Tbsp flour into pan drippings. Stir in undrained tomatoes, celery, carrots, onion and W sauce. Cook and stir til thickened and bubbly. Pour over meat. Bake covered on 350 til tender, about 1 hour 20 min.
