1 box German chocolate cake mix plus ingredients
14 oz caramels, unwrapped
5 oz evaporated milk
2 Tbsp butter
12 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. nuts
Prepare cake mix. Divide in half. Cook 1st half just until set, 15 min. Melt caramels, milk, and butter in saucepan. Pour over cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1/2 c. nuts. Add rest of cake mix and finish baking. About 30 on 350.
*You can add all the nuts in the middle and sprinkle chips on top of cake.
*May use cashews, pecans, peanuts, or your choice of nuts.
