Sub Sandwich Bread

These were yummy!

1 c. warm milk
1 c. warm water
1 pkt (2 1/4 tsp) yeast
2 Tbsp sugar
6 c flour
1 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp shortening, melted

In mixer bowl, stir together warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast. When yeast is activated, stir in 2 cups flour, salt, and shortening. Mix in remaining flour and knead. Turn into greased bowl and let rise until doubled. Form into 6 12-inch long thin rolls. Let rise about 30 min. Bake in 375 oven about 15-18 min or golden brown. Cool on rack.
