Chicken in Cranberry Gravy

6-8 chicken breasts
salt & pepper to taste
flour for dredging
4-6 Tbsp veg. oil
1 med onion, sliced (optional)
2 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (16oz) can jellied cranberry sauce

Season chicken with salt & pepper and dredge in flour. Brown chicken in oil. Set aside. Line bottom of 9 x 13 pan with sliced onions. Mix soup and cranberry sauce, spoon into pan. Add browned chicken and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 45 min.
