1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. chortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
Walnut halves
Andes chocolate mints
Cream shortening, butter and sugar together. Add eggs, water and vanilla mix well. Then add the dry ingredients sifted together. Place 1 Tbsp dough for each cookie on ungreased cookie sheet two inches apart. Place 1/2 Andes mint in center of each. Press down and cover with extra dough. Place walnut half on top of each cookie. Bake until golden at 375 for 10-12 min.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
