Olive Garden's Fettucine Alfredo

1/2 c. butter
1 pint heavy cream
salt & pepper to taste
1 lb. fettucine, prepared as directed
2 Tbsp cream cheese, softned (I use 4-6 oz)
1 tsp garlic powder
2/3 c. parmesan cheese

In med sauce pan, melt butter. When butter is melted, add cream cheese. When cream cheese is softened, add heavy cream. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 min over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese. Serve over hot fettucine noodles.
