Beef Tomato Pasta Soup

This was really yummy. We all enjoyed it.

1 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 c. each: onion, celery, carrot
28 oz. diced tomato
32 oz. beef stock
2 bay leaves
4 oz. small pasta (I used orzo)
parmesan cheese, to taste

Cook beef. Add onion, celery, carrot. Cook for 3-4 min. Add tomato, stock, bay leaves. Cover and cook on low in crockpot 1-1/2 hours or til tender. Add pasta, cooking according to package direction.
OR
Cook beef and veggies. Add everything to crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours. Cook pasta and add to soup.
